The Beermat Entrepreneur: Turn Your Good Idea into a Great Business   by Mike Southon and Chris West Published by Prentice Hall Business (2008) A helpful handbook that takes you through all the first stages of developing your business idea – from those first notes on a beermat to running a business which is sound, lasting and profitable. An immensely useful read for all aspiring entrepreneurs, regardless of experience or age.

Third Age Careers: Meeting the Corporate Challenge   by Barry Curnow and John Maclean Fox Published by Gower Publishing (1994) An exploration of options and outcomes for third agers.  Although written in the early nineties, much of what is covered is still valid today. Written more for HR management than individuals, it is nevertheless, and interesting read.
